Most of the time we hear bad news in the media about hip hop artists. If they are not getting arrested and headed to jail they are getting released or on parole but not all news is bad news.
So far this year several hip hop artists such as rapper Game, DJ Khaled, Drake and Snoop have giving back to the community. In the latest news music producer Diddy aka Sean Combs recently donated a quarter of a million dollars to the Youth Entrepreneur Network.
The number one Forbes Hip Hop's Wealthiest Artist and Cash King of 2013 said his success is defined by how much of an positive impact he has on peoples lives; as well as, him openly accepting the responsibility that comes with his success.
"That economic power gives me the opportunity to give back. And so, because I was able to work hard and to earn that money. I'm able to take care of my family. I got six kids and that's kind of expensive. And I was able to give away a quarter of a million dollars to an organization that I see the actual-results of it building our future leaders, CEO's and business owners," Diddy explained to Forbes.
Diddy is known for his work with groups like Danity Kane, 112, singer Mary J. Blige, French Montana, Janelle Monae and the late Notorious BIG.
According to Forbes, Diddy, 43, is worth $580 million. He's not too far from being a billionaire. But according to Diddy, their figures don't match the figures in his bank account.
"I want to tell you the truth. I don't have that money in the bank. They're saying that's how much I'm worth. So, I don't have that money in the bank. I want to make sure y'all are clear on that," Diddy confirmed.
Rather he is a millionaire or a billionaire he's not starving nor homeless and his children are well taken care of and that's all that matters!
