"Dear Sasha and Malia, I get your both in those awful teen years but you're a part of the First Family. Try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again, your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department."
"Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot in a bar."
Following the back lash Lauten received from the media over her controversial comments she issued an apology via Facebook.
"After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents, and re-reading my words online, I can see more clearly just how hurtful my words were. Please know, those judgmental feelings truly have no place in my heart. "
"I quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager," she said.
Although the apology Lauten posted is no longer visible what she posted has already been embedded. Once you post anything on a social media site it's open to the public.
She may have apologized but clearly she meant what she said or she would not have said it. We all are entitled to our opinions but the children should be off limits.
Lauten showed no respect for President Obama or his wife. If she had a problem with the president that's who her opinions should have been directed to, not his children.
