50 Cent Headed To Court Over Sex Tape Release

Rapper 50 Cent who is known for his controversial opinions has gotten himself in some legal trouble.

According to hip hop news, the "Power" producer is headed  to trial over release of Lastonia Leviston sex tape, Rick Ross’ child’s mother.

Lastonia Leviston has accused 50 Cent of leaking a sex tape which brought in over 3.2 million views without her consent. She is suing for emotional distress. 

Based on court documents 50 Cent said he was given the sex tape from Maurice Murray, the man originally featured in the tape with the plaintiff. The original version, which 50 said he didn't actually post himself, depicted Murray with a blurred out face, however Leviston's identity was not censored. 50 subsequently doctored the video to have himself as the character “Pimpin’ Curly,” an attempt to mock Ross.

The trial is set to begin in June, according to the New York Daily News.
