Angie Stone Released On $10,000 Bail Following Arrest

Nearly a week ago singer Angie Stone was arrested after she got into a physical altercation with her daughter Diamond.

According to a DeKalb County police incident report, Angie Stone said Diamond Stone hit her in the face with closed fists first. 

According to Diamond Stone, the fight started when Angie Stone entered her daughter’s room, demanded that she clean it up and ordered her to control her children.

Diamond went on to state that her mother started getting in her face, telling her she needed to leave because she is tired of her,” police said in the report. “Ms. Diamond Stone then stated her and Ms. Angie Stone started to argue, and that’s when a physical altercation started to occur.”


“Once she realized this,” police said in the report, “she quickly put the stand down and attempted to get away from her daughter. Ms. Stone then stated while she tried to get away, Diamond continued to come after her as if to strike her again but stated that Ms. Blondy Chisolm came to break up the fight.”

However, Diamond tells a different story. According to the report, she walked away after Angie Stone struck her in the face with the metal stand and called police. 

As a result both Angie and Diamond were taken to the Dekalb County Police Station for questioning. Diamond was released and her mother was charged with domestic aggravated assault.

The following day Angie Stone, 53, was released on $10,000 bond.
