It's been a long time since Jermaine "Huggy" Hopkins had some TV time or been seen in a movie. But the 'Lean On Me' star has recently found himself in trouble with the law.

TMZ reports Hopkins was arrested in Arizona after purchasing 200 pounds of marijuana from an undercover cop.

According to Maricopa County police, on Tuesday the 41-year-old actor had traveled from North Carolina to Arizona when he was pulled over in his SUV as part of an undercover set up.

Upon a police search one hundred thousand dollars was found in the vehicle. Later on 100 more pounds of marijuana was found in Hopkins apartment.

Hopkins who also starred in the classic film 'Juice' alongside the late rapper Tupac was charged with two felony counts of possessing, transporting and trying to sell marijuana. He is currently being held on a $35,000 bond.

If Jermaine Hopkins is convicted of the charges against him he will face up to five years in prison.

Hopkins said he bought drugs because he wanted to provide a nice Christmas for his family. Unless his Christmas is in March the judge is going to have a hard time sympathizing with his crime.

Too bad marijuana isn't legal in Arizona!
