Compton's new artist Kendrick Lamar released his debut album "good kid m.A.A.d city" on October 22ND. Former Bad Boy artist Shyne weighed in on the album and his opinions weren't all positive.
Recently, Shyne called Lamar's album trash on Twitter. He then did an interview with Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg saying Lamar was fed into the hype machine but he has not delivered on his promise. He said he would rather hear a spoken word album.
"I'm not talking reckless. I said the young boy got potential and I said he was talented, but the album is trash. That's tough love," Shyne said.
Shyne praised Lamar saying he couldn't wait to hear his album after hearing him spit on a few tracks. He said he wasn't pleased with the production and the beats were trash.
"And once your beats are trash you're finished because you can't handle a good flow," Shyne explained.
In addition to Shyne's criticism he added that he feels bad for Lamar because everybody is pumping him up.
"He's on fire because of that Interscope machine. He's on fire because of that Dr. Dre machine. He's nice, but that's a lot of hype," he added.
