Apology not accepted!
In previous reports it was stated that Emmett Till's family demanded an apology from Lil Wayne for his disrespectful lyrics in Future's song "Karate Chop". In the song he raps "Bout to put rims on my skateboard wheels/ beat that p***y like Emmett Till.
Since Wayne didn't issue an apology at the time of the Till's request they pursued further action. They went after Wayne's sponsors such as Mountain Dew. Wayne then issued a letter saying he respects the family and their loss and won't be using his name in his music".
Unfortunately, that letter came too late because as of right now Wayne has been dropped from Mountain Dew. The Pepsi company issued a statement saying Wayne's lyrics in "Karate Chop" were offensive and doesn't represent their brand.
According to the Till family, Wayne didn't apologize in the letter. It's not like the Young Money president is losing any money because that's something he has plenty of!
