The latest rapper to lose his life was Chris Kelly from the duo group Kris Kross. Kelly was found in his home last Wednesday. He had allegedly been speed balling which is mixing cocaine and heroin. The rapper was age 34 at his time of death.
In a joint statement with So So Def Kelly's mother, Donna, revealed her son had been doing drugs the day before his death. She said his legacy will live through his music and he would be loved forever.
"Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him," Donna said about her son.
