Chicago rapper Kanye West released his sixth solo album "Yeezus" on June 18TH. Rappers Mac Miller and J. Cole also released their albums on the same day. During the first week of sales all three rappers made it to the top three.
West who claim he wasn't concerned about record sales it was he who debuted at the number one spot on the charts. "Yeezus" brought in 328,800 copies. J. Cole's "Born Sinner" came in at number two selling close to 298,000. Mac Miller brought in 101,795 with "Watching Movies with the Sound Off" at number three.
"Yeezus" featuring the tracks "New Slaves" and "Black Skinhead" is West's sixth number one album. He became the second hip hop artist with the most number one albums along with Queens rapper Nas and Detroit's Eminem. Jay-Z who has 12 number one albums is the first rapper to have the most number one albums in hip hop!
