When it comes to group reunions some things just aren't meant to be!
According to reports, female group Danity Kane has broken up again following a physical altercation between Dawn Richard and Aubrey O'Day. In an open letter O'Day accused Richard of punching her in the back of her head during a group business meeting.
"During a recent group meeting, a business conversation took a turn for the worst when my group member punched me in the back of my head while I was speaking to another associate," O'Day explained.
Aubrey also stated that although disagreements happens, a war of words should not end up in physical aggression.
Shannon Bex who was present during the meeting spoke on the incident. According to Shannon, a punch did take place but she didn't say by whom.
"All I know is what I have seen. I did not witness a shouting match, a cat fight or a brawl. I witnessed a single direct punch," Bex said.
Dawn hasn't been silent about the incident at all. In fact she too wrote an open letter where she accused Shannon and Aubrey of conspiring to do things behind her back. She also apologized to her fans for the breaking news.
"I am sorry to everyone that this news had to come out. You're worth more. Certain choices were made that I am not proud of. However, I will not be disrespected," Richard said.
She also added that this matter should have been handled privately not publicly.
Dawn said she tried to respond via Danity Kane social media but she was blocked by her now former members.
Danity Kane was formed in 2004. D. Woods and Aubrey left the group in 2006 and the remainders left in 2009. Somehow four years later they reunited without Woods.
Whatever happened between Richard and O'Day we wasn't there. All we do is continue to support the music of all those involved!
