These artists nowadays don't ask permission to use another artists music. While there are some who don't pay it any mind there are some who wants to get paid.
According to Allhiphop.com, Kendrick Lamar is facing a $1 million lawsuit. He has been accused of using jazz artists Eric Reed and Willie Jones music for his song "Rigamortis".
Reed and Jones said "Rigamortis" is similar to the sounds of their song "Thorn" which was released in 2010. The musicians are suing Lamar for not giving credit where it was due and for not paying them for using their music. They are suing the TDE artist for money made from the sales of the song, as well as, the rights to the song!
