Chapman allegedly went to the Apple store nine times between May and August of 2014. He used an self-checkout app on his iPhone to make purchases but he never paid for anything.
Recently, Chapman entered rehab at The Brook Hospital in Louisville. He is seeking treatment for substance abuse.
Meanwhile as a result to his crime, Chapman faces nine counts of organized retail theft and five counts of trafficking in stolen property and all felonies.
Following his arrest he posted bail for $14,000. Since he was able to do that why couldn't he just pay for the items from the Apple store?
