While some rappers may not be a fan of Iggy Azalea she has plenty fans who love her music, so much that she out beat Drake and Eminem.

During this year's American Music Awards Azalea's album "The New Classic" won for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop album. She also won for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop artist.

While Iggy was accepting her speech she mentioned Eminem's name.

"It means so much that I can stand here against Eminem and Drake and come out with this. It's amazing," Azalea said.

“This award is the first award I’ve ever won in my entire life, and it means so much to me that it is for best hip-hop, because that’s what inspired me to move to America and pursue my dreams," Iggy added.

“It’s what helped me when I was a teenager to escape and to get through my life and to better times,” Iggy said.

In March 2012 T.I. signed Iggy Azalea to the Grand Hustle label. Her first album "The New Classic" was released in April 2014. It sold 52,000 copies in the first week and ranked number three on the Billboard Charts.
