On January 7th the new drama series "Empire" made it's debut to Fox network.
The Lee Daniels project which stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson reached high ratings beating the return of "American Idol".
"Empire" averaged 3.7 rating among adults ages 18-49. "American Idol" went from a 4.7 to a 3.1 rating. The musical reality show brought in only 10.7 million viewers while "Empire" came in close pulling in 9.8 million.
