Phylicia Rashad Stars In New Film "Creed"

Former "Cosby" star Phylicia Rashad may be in a controversial battle with the media but that's not stopping her from moving forward.

The 66-year-old legendary actress has been added to the cast of the upcoming film "Creed" produced by Sylvester Stallone.

Rashad will play Apollo Creed's widow, Mary Anne and the grandmother to Adonis Creed who is played by Michael B. Jordan.

According to the Wrap, Jordan is playing the grandson of Rocky’s enemy-turned-best friend and mentor. Rocky will reluctantly train and mentor Adonis’ boxing career.

Jordan also played in the film "Fruitvale Station". He also played in "The Wire" as a drug dealer named Wallace.

Sylvester Stallone will also play in the film as Rocky.

"Creed" is set for release in 2016!
