Jamaican Teen Allegedly Pregnant By Family Member

According to The Voice, Jamaican teen named Alicia who is 7 months pregnant is allegedly having a baby by a 52-year-old family member.

Janet Fearon, 28, is in outrage after learning of her 12-year-old daughter's pregnancy. She believes the father of the child is a relative.

The Sunday Gleaner reports that Fearon's daughter was sexually assaulted by her cousin and another man in their rural Clarendon community last year, but she was unaware of this until she took the child to the doctor for a check-up.

The doctor immediately contacted the police.

According to reports, Alicia said the incident occurred when she was on her way home from school. She said it was normal for her to visit her cousin's house because she was best friends with his daughter. She alleged that two men took her into the bathroom to have sex with her.

Alicia said she didn't tell her mother what happened because she was threatened.

"They said if I go home go tell my mother, they gonna kill me," Alicia said.

The 12-year-old and her mother were questioned by the police but no arrest and no charges have been made.
