Many hip-hop artists would make songs that describe their pain in heartfelt conventions: Ghostface Killah or Beanie Siegel are a few to name that can capture that compositional style. And no we are not talking about emo rap. Rarely, it is heard from an artist what discomfort from an underground perspective really is until Chicago’s own Jo$i Green author’s “The Pain.” He captures the lending ear with absolute suffering in lyrical content. The torment in flow complements the gripeness in production providing an injurious listening experience.
