DMX Drops In Numbers With "Undisputed" On The Billboard Charts

In late August New York rapper DMX aka Earl Simmons released his seventh studio album "Undisputed". Unfortunately, the album didn't have as much success as his previous albums.

On the Billboard charts X first five albums ranked at number one. His sixth album "Year of the Dog, Again" came in at number two, pulling in 100,000 units in the first week. His second, third and fourth album was high in numbers but his first album "It's Dark and Hell is Hot" brought in 5 million copies. He sold 314,000 copies with "Grand Champ" his fifth studio album.

"Undisputed" had the lowest sales only bringing in 17,000 copies in it's first week, a major drop in the Dark Man's career. The album made it to the top twenty but barely coming in at number 19.

Let's just keep it real the new generation isn't into old school rappers like DMX. Not too many can relate to his songs. It's the same way with Nas. You can't expect them to pull in high numbers with the change in the game!
