Last Thursday it was reported that rapper Webbie was arrested and charged with robbery and battery. He was accused of taking $340 from a woman's purse and kicking her down a flight of stairs in a hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Webbie was later released on a $9,000 bond.
According to a rep for Webbie, he admitted to meeting the woman at a party, but he denied putting his hands on her or stealing any money from her.
Has it gotten that bad for Webbie? All he has to do is come out with another hit. Independent artist are coming up in the game these days. You don't need no major record deal!
