Previously, it was announced that actor and "Wild N Out" host Nick Cannon would be playing Richard Pryor in the new biopic film.
According to news reports, Cannon will not be playing in the Lee Daniels film. However, it's been announced that comedian Mike Epps will be playing the late comedian instead.
Also featured in the biopic is Oprah Winfrey. She will playing Pryor's grandmother who raised her grandson in a brothel.
Epps made his debut to film in Ice Cube's "Next Friday". The 43-year-old has been featured in a list of films including "All About The Benjamin's", "How High", "Friday After Next", "Next Day Air", "The Hangover", "Lottery Ticket", "Sparkle", "Roll Bounce", "Bait", and "Resident Evil Apocalypse".
Nick Cannon wasn't the only one considered for the role of Richard Pryor. Comedians Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock was also in the runnings!
