Schoolboy Q Speaks On TDE's Cypher

This year on the BET Hip Hop Awards the cypher line-up included The Slaughterhouse crew, The ASAP Mob, Lil Kim, The cast of The Real Husbands of Hollywood and T.D.E (Top Dawg Entertainment).

Of all the cyphers Kendrick Lamar's verse sparked the most controversy. Many assumed the lyrics were in response to those who made dis tracks in reference to his verse on Big Sean's "Control".

Schoolboy Q spoke on behalf of his group saying people are digging too deep on their verses, specifically Jay Rock's and Kendrick Lamar's. Q was asked if he thought Lamar's words was directed towards Young Money's Drake and he said he didn't know, and he didn't catch it until people started talking about it.

"I still don't think he got at Drake because we did that before the little incident," Q said.

He also reflected on his verse when he said "What's 50 grand to a mutha f***a like me". Q said that people assumed that was a dis towards Jay-Z but he said it was a dis towards those who have been throwing stones at him and his crew.

If you listen to Kendrick's verse it does sound like he is dissing a few rappers. He says it's all in fun but it doesn't look like some of these rappers are taking Lamar's lyrics as a joke!
