Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly" Out Sells First Album

Kendrick Lamar's album "To Pimp a Butterfly" which was released on March 16, 2015 has become the number one song in the country.

The album sold close to 325,000 in it's first week outselling his first album "good kid m.A.A.d city" which came in at number two selling 241,000 copies.

"To Pimp A Butterfly" album has six singles currently on the Billboard's Hot 100 including his debut single "i" which came in at number 39 despite it's popularity.

"King Kunta" entered the charts this week at #61, followed by "The Blacker the Berry" at #66. Kendric's next track, "Alright," is currently at #83 on the chart.


"Wesley's Theory," featuring George Clinton and Thundercat is at #91, then "These Walls" is #94, and "Institutionalized" featuring Bilal, Snoop Dogg, and Anna Wise just cracked the Hot 100 at the #99 spot on the weekly chart.
