Lauryn Hill Sentenced To Three Months In Prison

Previously, it was reported that Lauryn Hill was given two weeks to come up with the near $1 million she owed from unpaid taxes and penalties. Although she did pay the $900,000, thanks to Sony, she was still sentenced to serve time in prison.

According to reports, the "Sweetest Thing" singer still faced charges for failing to file taxes from 2005-2007 for close to $2 million and for 2008-2009 for $2.3 million.

Hill plead guilty to the charges. Instead of receiving three years in prison the judge showed leniency and sentenced her to three months.

Last Friday Hill was forced to release her latest single "Neurotic Society" on iTunes. She went on Tumblr to express how she wasn't happy about having to release the new music so quickly.

"I Love being able to reach people directly, but in an ideal scenario I would not have to rush the release of new music," Hill said.

Ok, has Lauryn Hill lost her mind? She just escaped three years in prison for not filing her taxes and she has the nerve to still complain! Some people just don't know how to be grateful! Maybe she doesn't understand that she's going to prison for failure to file taxes not for not paying taxes!
